Spring 2011 in the Nickerson Walking Woods Preserve

The Attleboro Land Trust Property Management Committee has been busy working to prepare the Nickerson Walking Woods Preserve to be opened to the public, but there is still much more work to be done. The project involves design and construction of a gravel parking lot, creation of a new loop trail with multiple boardwalks, and signage. We are currently completing applications for the necessary city permits, seeking bids, making out grant applications, and working with a local Scout who is planning an Eagle project to clear the new trail. We recently did a species inventory on the property with the help of Mass Audubon.  These photos were taken while doing that inventory.
