Mission Statement"The Attleboro Land Trust is a non-profit organization which protects open space for the community of Attleboro--through advocacy, education, and the acquisition and management of conservation land."
--Adopted October 20, 1997
Chartered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a charitable organization founded to serve the public interest, we fulfill our mission through the generosity and participation of local citizens like you. Part of a Larger Movement The Attleboro Land Trust is one of more that 800 similar organizations around the country dedicated to land conservation. A land trust is not a "trust" in the technical sense, it is a non-profit organization set up to acquire land for conservation purposes. Most land trusts are also involved in environmental education. We invite you to get involved with our organization to help preserve open space in Attleboro. |
